Obituary of Alex Seay

Alex Seay of Vankleek Hill passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday September 10th, 2024 at the age of 71.

He leaves his loving wife Sandra (née Bates), his adored children: Sam (Melissa), Wayne (Amy), John (Sarah) and Mathew (Jennifer) and his cherished grandchildren: Avery, Shannon, Aiden, Colin, Lily, Jake, Casey, Isla, Evan, Lamoure, Vaughn, Torrent and Sonali.

He also leaves his brothers Peter (Elke) and Ian as well as many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and his two loving companions, his dogs, Triton and Xena.

Alex relished his weekends at his cottage by the river in L'Orignal, where fishing was both a passion and a perfect escape. His outgoing nature made him a natural storyteller, and he thrived on engaging conversations with everyone he met. Whether he was reeling in a catch or sharing anecdotes with fellow anglers, Alex’s infectious enthusiasm and knack for making friends turned every visit into a lively and memorable experience.

A Private Family Service will be held.

For those who wish donations to The Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

To honour Alex’s memory, a Tree of Remembrance will be planted in the McAlpine Forever Forest in Vankleek Hill.
