Barb & family, sending my deepest sympathies on your loss.
My deepest sympathies to Mrs Barton, Bonnie and Ian. This news is heartbreaking as I enjoyed some of the best years of my youth living across the road from the Barton family. Charles (and Ian!) were the big brothers I didn’t have. I am grateful for the time we spent together, playing games when we could and making the best out of daily chores. Rest easy brother.
My condolences to all of Chuck's family and friends. My thoughts are with you as you gather today to celebrate Chuck's life. Rest in peace Chuck!

We are beside ourselves with this news. Such a beautiful person taken away too early. We have nothing but fun, loving memories of Chuck when, as a young man, would drop by our old homstead to pick up my brother Brent for a fun night out. Chuck could relate to older sisters, parents, and everyone else. We wish you peace Chuck. A lot of people will miss you. Rest in Peace you special person.

There was always a calm presence when Chuck would come into the John Deere dealership. As a new comer to the parts counter he was patient and helpful willing to share his knowledge. I did not know him well but will miss him coming in. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family.

Dear Mrs. Barton, Bonnie, Ian and Family,
Chuck I always hoped we'd meet again someday so I could ask you if you remembered this story. Some stories fade away while others for some reason remain like it happened yesterday. Each story told me something about who that student was. This story from long ago told me that this young boy was a happy worker not a complainer. It showed me that Chuck took pride in his work with great attention to detail.
Chuck, like Bonnie and Ian were positive participators in my gym classes as well as Intramurals. Now Bonnie was a Jock and Chuck II think was a 49er.
However on this day Chuck forgot his gym clothes. "Chuck" I said , " Today your job will be to sweep and tidy up the equipment room. You can get a broom from maintenance and then get to work sweeping and seeing that everything is put back neatly in its place."
After class I go to check out the job. Wow Chuck" I said "You did a really good job." To which Chuck replied, "Do you want me to do it again next gym class too?" "No Chuck" I replied, "All I want for the next class is for you to bring your gym clothes." He did. To all who will miss Chuck terribly, my condolences.

I was shocked and saddened to hear that Chuck had passed away at such a young age. I have so many great memories of him when he was a lineman in Vankleek Hill . He was just a great guy to be around and he always seemed to be smiling.Recently I would run into him often at the Holland shop in Iroquois when we were getting ready to head out to do storm restoration in the USA or Ontario. My condolences to his family and close friends. He will be greatly missed!❤️
I had a lot of good memories of Chuck from Hydro One and years later at Holland Power. He was a hard worker and would do anything for you. My deepest condolences to his family.
Our deepest sympathy to Chuck's family! He was a very loved and respected man. We hope your dear memories bring you comfort going forward.
My condolences to Kortney, Barbara, Bonnie, Ian and the rest of the family and friends.
The picture of the lonely elm tree in the middle of the field brings back a memory (I have lots of great ones with Chuck aka Clow) and I asked him after removing all those fence lines and ditches, why did you leave that one tree in the middle that you have to work around?
His reply was: look at it, it looks great.
I had to agree.
I always looked forward to our drive shed chats and laughs.
RIP Cousin Chuck.
Ian
